Character: Polite and gentle-natured at first glance, Ming Yue can be obstinately stubborn and a sharp-tongued sass when the situation arises. Once she forms an opinion of you, it is very hard to get her to change her mind. Although raised to be courteous and hospitable, she possesses a diligently iron will and quietly stands by her decisions. She is not one to make bold statements about the things that matter, and holds the worst of grudges for the longest of times.

History: Ming Yue was born as the eldest daughter and second child out of the four Tai siblings. Although not noble, the Tai family tea house was located in a favorable spot in the capital, and the diligent work of their parents and other past generations had made the family into a prospering upper middle-class one. She grew up surrounded by tea and hospitality customs, first helping out by clearing empty cups and running simple errands, then being tasked with preparing the tea from tea cakes, and finally, allowed to serve and entertain. All in all, she's led an incredibly ordinary life.

Although she has been of marriageable age for a while, no marriage has successfully taken place yet due to her elder brother's meddling. To be completely frank, it worries her a bit, but when she sees him stomping off muttering about finding the perfect match for his precious little sister she has to laugh a bit.

Lei actually belongs to Ming Yue's older brother, although the lazy cat has been entrusted into her care. Lei is loyal to a fault, and although he takes his task of safeguarding his master's precious sister very seriously, he could honestly care less about following direct orders from Ming Yue.

Small and chubby and fluffy, Dong Gua hails from the northern provinces. In an unfortunate poaching accident that resulted in his mother's death and his capture, the little cub made it to the capital and ended up being bought by Ming Yue. He's finally managed to warm up to Ming Yue, but tends to hold all other humans with a high level of wariness and is prone to hissing. However, despite his highly cautious nature, he somehow manages to repeatedly land himself in some trouble or another.

- Ming Yue has an elder brother, a younger brother, and younger sister. The younger two are twins.
- Hates embroidery and needlework with a passion.
- She seems to fancy a particular swordsman who had been frequenting the teahouse before she accidentally stumbled through time. How unfortunate.
